February 2023 Release Overview
Internet Archive upgraded the Vault digital repository and preservation service to Version 0.7.0 in February 2023. This release includes a redesigned Dashboard layout, a new Reports page, and updates to the Administration page, enabling partners to have more control over the management of their Vault account and activity.

New & Improved Features
Dashboard
The Vault Dashboard has been redesigned to make it easier to view, access, interpret, and perform actions on the archived data in your account. Please note you may need to clear your browsers' cache for the new Dashboard data to display fully.

The Dashboard now displays six Dashboard cards:
- Collections
The ‘Collections’ card in the top left allows you to view a list of your collections in order of most recently updated. From this card you can:
- Create a collection
- Scroll through a list of all collections
- View statistics
- The dashboard default view shows the aggregate stats of all your collections. Selecting an individual collection will update the dashboard to display statistics related to that specific collection.
- View all or a specific collection
- Clicking the ‘View’ button beside All Collections provides direct navigation to view all collections. Clicking the ‘View’ button beside each collection provides direct navigation to that specific collection.

- Your Vault Statistics
- ‘Your Vault Statistics’ card displays the total aggregate information of all your collections in the system. This card will update as you add more data to Vault.

- Most Recent Fixity Report
- The ‘Most Recent Fixity Report’ card displays fixity report statistics.
- An upcoming release will allow Vault partners to manage fixity events themselves. Until then, Internet Archive will run these events manually for partners when requested. To request a fixity report be generated for your collection(s), please contact us at vault@archive.org.

- The ‘Most Recent Fixity Report’ card displays fixity report statistics.
- Reports
- The ‘Reports’ card displays a list of report types, including deposits and fixity reports. Clicking on a report takes you to the individual report page.

- Collections Distribution (Files)
- The ‘Collections Distribution’ card displays file counts related to your collections in Vault.

- Files per Region
- The ‘Files per Regions’ card displays the replication of files per region related to your collections in Vault.

Reports
A Reports page has been added to Vault. You can access the Reports page at any time from the top navigation bar in Vault.
The Report page displays all Deposit and Fixity reports associated with your Vault account. You can view all report types from the All tab, select the Deposit tab to view the Deposit reports, or the Fixity tab to view the Fixity reports.

Each tab has a search field enabling you to filter Reports by ID number or Collection name. Additionally, each tab includes faceted table filtering or sorting by select columns.

Admin
Improvements and updates have been made to the Administration page in Vault.
- From the Users Tab, you can now create a new Viewer (read-only) role. Viewer roles can view the content in Vault, but are not able to deposit content or make any create, edit, or modify actions to collections. For a full breakdown of the available user roles and privileges, see the help article Administering Your Vault Account.
- Please contact us at vault@archive.org if you would like your user account to be given Admin Role permissions.
- Unique Usernames and email addresses are required when creating a new user for your Vault account. Error messaging now displays to alert you if the same ‘Username’ or ‘Email’ is already associated with an existing user.
