Overview

Vault provides two types of reports to make it easy to review information about your Vault account: Deposit Reports and Fixity Reports. This article outlines how to access and interpret your Deposit Report and a Fixity Report.

About Vault Reports

Vault provides two types of reports to make it easy to review information about your Vault account:

Deposit Reports

Deposit reports provide an overview of your deposit.

Deposit report. 

In the report you will see the following information: 

ID The report ID
State

The state of the deposit, which will be one of the following:

  • Complete
  • Processing
  • Uploading
  • Error

The state of the deposit is also reflected in the State Graph. 
Total Files to Deposit  The total number of Files in the deposit. 
Total Size to Deposit The total size of Files in the deposit. 
Progress

The progress of the deposit, which includes information about the status of the files being deposited. It provides and overview of the following: 

  • Complete
    • The number and size of files deposited
  • Awaiting Upload
    • The number and size of files awaiting upload
  • Awaiting Processing
    • The number and size of files awaiting processing
  • Errors
    • The number and size of files that have encountered an error during the deposit.

Files

A row of buttons displays pertaining to the files in the deposit, and their status. When you click on each button, the relavent list of files will display. You can view the following files: 

  • All 
    • All files that is part of the deposit
  • Complete
    • All files that have been deposited
  • Processing
    • All files that are still processing
  • Uploading
    • All files that are still uploading
  • Error
    • All files that have encountered an error during the deposit. 

 

Fixity Reports

Fixity reports provide an overview of fixity statistics. This feature is still under development. More details coming soon!

Accessing Your Reports

You can access and view Deposit Reports and Fixity Reports from the:

  1. Reports tab in the top navigation bar 
    • Clicking the Reports tab will take you to the Reports page, where you can view all your reports or just your Deposit or Fixity Reports. You can learn more about this page below. 
  2. Dashboard’s Most Recent Fixity Report Card
    • Here you can view the most recent Fixity report, including the Date the fixity check occured, any Errors encountered, the number of the Files checked, and the Size of the files checked,
  3. Dashboard’s Report Card
    • Here you can view the list of Deposit reports, listed in chronological order. Clicking the Deposit Report link will take you to the individual Deposit Report in a new window.

About the Reports Page 

The Report page displays all Deposit and Fixity reports associated with your Vault account. You can view all reports from the All tab, select the Deposit tab to view the Deposit reports, or the Fixity tab to view the Fixity reports.

Each tab has a search field enabling you to filter Reports by Collection name or ID. Additionally, each tab includes faceted table filtering or sorting by columns. 

 

From the All tab, you can filter by:  From the Deposit tab, you can filter by: From the Fixity tab, you can filter by: 
  • Report Type
  • Collection
  • Date
  • Collection
  • User
  • State
  • Date
  • Collection
  • Report Date
  • Files
  • Size
  • Success
  • Errors
