How to control the public visibility of specific metadata fields
By default, all metadata fields are publicly visible and able to be faceted and browsed in your public account and collection pages on archive-it.org. However, there may be cases where you would benefit from private metadata fields that are only visible when you are logged into your account.
If you would like to make a specific metadata field private across all the collections, seeds and documents in your account, account Administrators can do so by navigating to the "Administration" link in the upper-right corner of the web application, then to the "Account Settings" tab.
In the text box toward the bottom of the page, called "Private Metadata Fields," enter the names of any metadata fields that you would like to keep private. (Enter each field name on a separate line, in all lower case letters). Then click "Save."
