Archive-It Public Site Accessibility Statement

As a part of the Internet Archive, Archive-It is committed to providing universal access to all knowledge. This includes a commitment to making archive-it.org accessible to everyone. We are actively working to improve and maintain accessibility across our website and currently aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level  A, as published by the W3C. 

While we are working toward full compliance, some areas of the site, including https://archive-it.org/explore/, organization pages, and collection pages, are still being improved and may not yet meet WCAG standards. These sections are a priority for future updates.

Our team performs periodic accessibility audits on the website and we work with web developers to correct identified issues. Ongoing monitoring helps us stay current with accessibility best practices.

Our service gives users access to archived versions of websites created and managed by other organizations. While we strive to make our own platform accessible, the accessibility of content on archived websites is dependent on the accessibility of the sites themselves at the time they were archived, and thus may not meet current accessibility standards.
