Scoping Facebook Seeds

Now that everyone is using Archive-It 5.0, we wanted to remind you to review and update your Facebook seed settings, if necessary.

The current version of the web application makes it possible to add data limits at the seed level, which wasn’t possible in Archive-It 4.9, and we have updated our recommended best practice for scoping Facebook seeds accordingly.

To improve the capture of each Facebook seed, while still protecting yourself from archiving data that you do not want, we recommend that you replace any legacy host level document limits on facebook.com with a 1GB data limit on individual Facebook seeds.
