Deadline approaching: Export Archive-It reports from Google Analytics
Google Analytics will not host data from Archive-It accounts after June 30, 2024. Follow the instructions below to export reports for preservation and access.
Archive-It migrated accounts to a self-hosted analytics service in September 2023. Learn more about the feature here: Track access to your web archives with Plausible Analytics.
Download custom reports
You may download any regular reports from your Google Analytics account directly. Navigate to each report and select the desired format(s) from the drop-down menu under Export:
For more information about formats and advanced options from Google Analytics, see: [UA] Export and share reports.
Export common reports to Google Sheets
If you do not run your own reports, you may also export common reports to Google Sheets. Follow these directions to configure and run your reports:
-
Install the Google Analytics add-on for Google Sheets. This lets you retrieve reports from Google Analytics.
-
Click here to copy our template. This creates a Google Sheet configured to receive your reports.
- Enter your View ID in the cells across row 3. To find your View ID in Google Analytics, go to: Admin > View settings > View ID.
- Enter a Start Date in YYYY-MM-DD format across row 4. Use the earliest date for which you have data to export the full history.
- From the top menu bar, select: Extensions > Google Analytics > Run reports.
Each report appears as a new tab in your current Google Sheets workbook. You may download it in CSV, ODS, XSLX, and other formats. For information about reporting tools and configurations from Google Analytics, see: Reporting tools.
