New training webinar: The Web Archiving Systems API (WASAPI)
We invite you to join a webinar on the Web Archiving Systems API, or “WASAPI” for short. Register here to join us on Wednesday, May 29, at 11AM Pacific, 2PM Eastern, 7PM GMT.
WASAPI is a collaboration with LOCKSS, Stanford University DLSS, University of North Texas Libraries, and Rutgers University, to implement standardized tools for retrieving web archive data and technical metadata. The effort was supported generously by a National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (LG-71-15-0174-15).

Archive-It’s WASAPI implementation provides partners and their patrons with sophisticated new means to retrieve, download, and share the WARC files that constitute their web archive collections. We encourage all Archive-It partners who download WARC files for preservation or researcher access in particular to attend and learn about these enhanced methods. All attendees will learn about use cases for the new API, receive a brief training in how to use it, and hear their questions answered by Internet Archive staff.
More information about WASAPI development may be found in the project team's GitHub repository: https://github.com/WASAPI-Community/data-transfer-apis
