crawls from cbc.ca site aren't loading properly

Hello,

We have noticed that crawls from the cbc.ca site aren't loading properly when we view them in the Wayback Machine. The page does seem to be captured as the text and media do display on the screen initially, but when the page finishes loading it suddenly goes blank.

I have looked at other captures made during this time, but this doesn't seem to be a problem with anything aside from cbc.ca pages.

Crawl numbers are 1103250, and 1102983.

Any ideas?

  Hi Larissa,

  Thanks for letting us know about this one! Can you take a look at your next convenience and let me know if these captures still misbehave? A "hard" refresh (Shift key + browser refresh button) might be necessary if you already have them open. I think we've tweaked the Wayback replay to avoid the issue, but let us know if you still see anything to the contrary!

  Hello,

   

  I am experiencing the same issue with my CBC crawls. They load in Wayback momentarily then the screen goes white making it impossible to see if they worked. I tried the hard refresh trick, but to no avail. 

   

  Any progress on this? Thanks,

  Thanks for letting us know, Erin! This helped me to apply a wider fix from here on our side of Wayback, so please take a fresh look at your next convenience and let me know if you still see anything amiss with your CBC archives. We can fix these retroactively if and when you see any page continue to misbehave.

  To prevent this from happening in the future though, I recommend adding this "Collection Scope" rule to any collection that will include CBC articles:

  • For the host www.cbc.ca block URL if it contains the text: www.cbc.ca/a/scripts/vendor.
