About DuraCloud's Archive-It Sync

Overview 

You can maintain a separate storage of your web archives by subscribing to DuraCloud. This subscription allows a sync with your Archive-It account that automates downloads of your WARC files. This sync can replace manual downloads of WARC files. And it allows DuraCloud to update your storage of WARC files on a regular basis.

What it is 

DuraCloud is a cloud-based and managed digital preservation software service provided by DuraSpace, a division of Lyrasis. Contact DuraCloud directly for the latest Archive-It Sync information and guidance.

When you sign a service agreement with Duracloud, your WARC files can be immediately pulled and stored. You don't need to do anything else on Archive-It's end. You can "set it and forget it" and rest assured you have an extra layer of preservation.

How it works 

DuraCloud's feature will then:

• Make the initial pull of the specified WARC files from Archive-It storage.
• Continue to monitor your account for any updates.
• Synchronize further pulls with its existing stores from your account.

You can manage and download the WARC files stored with DuraCloud through their web application.
