Why sync data with DuraCloud?
Syncing your WARC files with DuraCloud is an easy way to maintain a separate store of preservation copies of your web archives. DuraCloud subscribers may automatically enrich and regularly update their preservation stores, rather than manually downloading their WARC files.
How to do it
You may immediately sync your WARC files to DuraCloud and define the terms of your regular updates upon signing a service agreement with DuraSpace. No further action is required. DuraCloud's Archive-It Sync feature performs an initial pull of all or specific WARC files from our LOCKSS-based preservation repository. Thereafter, the sync monitors your account or specified collections for any updates, and will synchronize them with its existing store of files. Like any other digital files that you choose to preserve with the same service, the WARC files can thereafter be managed through DuraCloud's web application.
DuraCloud is a cloud-based and managed digital preservation software service provided by DuraSpace, the organization responsible for open-source library and archives software solutions like DSpace and Fedora. For the most up to date information, consult DuraSpace's official guidance on DuraCloud's Archive-It Sync feature.
