How to change the public visibility of a Group

Overview

Groups can be used for in-account organization, or as filters for sites on public account and collection pages. You can change the visibility settings for a single Group from its management page, or for many Groups at once from the Seed Groups list.

Visibility settings on a group’s management page

Groups are visible as filters in any associated public collection when the Visible to the public box is checked. If the box is unchecked, then that Group name will not appear as a filter in public collections. Group name visibility does not change the visibility of seeds in that Group.

The Seed Groups list includes a Group Name Public? column that indicates whether a Group name will or will not appear in public collections. 

To edit the visibility of Group names: 

1. Check the box next to the Group(s) you’d like to change.
2. Click Edit Visibility.
3. Choose either Visible to the public or Not visible to the public and click OK.

Note: It may take 15-20 minutes for your changes to be reflected on the public site. If your changes are not reflected on the public site after 24 hours, contact us.
