Seed Groups can be used as an additional filter and discovery option for related seed URLs in public collections. Reasons for grouping seeds for access purposes may be (but are not limited to):
- Indicating sites that have changed URLs over time
- Organizing subpages of the same domain
- Filtering for more granular topics within a collection
- Filtering for similar topics/sites/domains across collections
Publicly listed Group names appear as filters on the Sites tab of an organization’s landing page and on public collection pages on archive-it.org. Learn more about changing a group's visibility settings.
