YouTube and Embedded Video Capture Issues
I've recently encountered issues capturing YouTube and embedded videos. I followed the instructions provided in this link https://support.archive-it.org/hc/en-us/articles/208333753-Archiving-YouTube-videos. After reviewing my test crawls in chrome, I noticed there's no video or playback button in the Wayback banner. However, the video/mp4 files do appear in my crawl reports, and when I click on the video/mp4 file, the video I attempted to capture is present. Is it possible to perform patch crawls on YouTube and embedded videos once crawls are saved? If so, is there any documentation available for this process? or perhaps another solution to this problem?

Interesting. It's been working fine for me. The only thing I can think is that, when you're actually crawling the YouTube channel, you need to go to the watch pages in order to view the videos. You won't get the play button in the banner on the pages with multiple videos like the main page and the videos page. If you're actually not seeing them on the watch pages, then I don't know what's going on.

Hello Denisse! Thanks for flagging this. Can you please share the affected crawl ID number(s) here or directly to the Archive-It team via support ticket? It sounds like you did everything correctly and Skip is right to say that embedded videos should archive normally. Your crawl(s) might have fallen on the wrong side of a regular upgrade to our A/V utilities under the hood or your seed site might present a novel challenge, but we'd be happy to confirm or rule out any of those issues before you save or discard any tests.
