Transfer Archive-It Account
Hello,
I am a contractor advising a congressional office on the best means to transfer digital content to the final repository of their choice at the end of the representative's term. The office plans to transfer web content collected via Archive-It alongside their other digital records, and their hope is that the steward of these records will continue to collect web content related to the representative after their tenure in Congress is over. Is there a way to wholly transfer an account to a new organization? Is it merely a matter of reassigning or expanding administrative privileges?

Thanks for reaching out about transfer of Archive-It accounts and local data storage. We are able to transfer existing Archive-It accounts to the management of new subscribers at the agreement of both parties. Anyone facing a similar scenario can reach out to us through a support ticket.
With respect to the downloading of WARC files there are a couple different options available to Archive-It subscribers at no extra cost. Our help center includes a Partner Guide to Downloading Archive-It Data that explains the different options available. Partners can also choose to have their data shipped to them on a hard drive for a fee that will be based on the data amount. For partners using DuraCloud or LOCKSS, we have pipelines that make integrating WARCs from Archive-It simple.
