Each Archive-It collection is assigned a permanent, unique number in the order that it is created for identification and management purposes. You may use either of the following methods to find the unique ID number for any of your Archive-It collections when needed.

Find a collection ID number in your Archive-It account
To find any collection's unique ID number from within your Archive-It account, begin by logging into your Archive-It account and navigating to the collection by name.
Once you arrive at its default Overview tab view, the collection's unique ID number will appear at the end of the URL string in your web browser's location bar:
For instance, the collection unique ID number for the Panama Papers collection above is: 7258.
Find a collection ID number on archive-it.org
To find any Archive-It collection's unique ID number at its public access point, begin by navigating to archive-it.org and use the browse or search functionalities to find the collection's public access page.
Once you arrive at the collection's default public access page on archive-it.org, the collection's unique ID number will appear at the end of the URL string in your web browser's location bar:
For instance, the collection unique ID number for the Government in Alaska collection above is: 1084.

Using either method described above, you may find the unique ID number for any of your own or any public Archive-It web archive collections.
